Welcome
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Part of my practice includes supporting clients within a residential rehabilitation centre for people suffering from addiction problems. I have worked in the field of addiction for over 11 years and have specialities in this area.
Alongside addiction counselling, I have experience of working with trauma related issues, loss and grief, mental health issues, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complicated Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), self-harm, eating disorders, personality disorder, debt related issues and homelessness.
I believe that our past experiences play a role in shaping our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I believe that an exploration of the past is often useful, particularly to the degree that it continues to influence our emotional and behavioural difficulties. I value the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focus on how our thinking affects the way we feel and behave.
If you’d like to schedule a free, informal consultation at my practice in Bristol visit my contact page or call me on 01172 900 020.
